Art All Night 2017 Recap

October 2, 2017

On September 23, 2017, Shaw Main Streets presented Art All Night Shaw, its sixth annual, full-scale, FREE overnight arts festival in Washington, D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood. Based on Paris' Nuit Blanche, the magic lasted from 7:00 PM until 3:00 AM on Sunday, September 24. This year, more than 40 venues in Shaw showcased the work of DC painters, sculptors, photographers, fashion designers, musicians, dancers, body painters, street performers, and more.

As part of the festival Beyond Studios DC hosted an all night photo shoot where guests were invited to stop by and get their photos taken in our professional photography studio. Check out all the photos here!

“Art All Night is a unique opportunity to explore the creativity of DC artists of all types, in traditional and nontraditional spaces, ranging from galleries, coffee shops and restaurants to vacant lots, the historic Wonder Bread Factory, and the award-wining Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Library,” says Alexander M. Padro, Shaw Main Streets executive director. “And it all takes place in the middle of a neighborhood that’s booming with new development, including scores of new bars and restaurants, a number of which will be open during the big event.”
